52 Ancestors 2015: #18 David Reynolds

Week 18 (April 30 – May 6) – Where There’s a Will: Do you have an ancestor who left
an interesting will? Have you used a will to solve a problem? Or, what ancestor
showed a lot of will in his or her actions?

David Reynolds, my 5th great grandfather, didn’t exactly leave a will, but I have his pension papers and documents regarding his service in the Revolutionary war. They can be found here.

Using these papers, I determined who his brother was (Eliphalet), who his wife and children were and the years of marriage and birth, as well as his years of service and current situation for his family at the time of the pension filing.

These were the first papers that helped break down the brick wall of who David Reynolds was and how he ended up in Maine.

David Reynolds (1760 – 1832)
is your 5th great grandfather
son of David Reynolds
son of David Reynolds
son of Ephraim Weston Reynolds
son of Edgar Bliss Reynolds
daughter of Harry Nelson Reynolds
